Ben Jacobs confirms Chelsea can sign Crysencio Summerville for a cut-price deal
According to Ben Jacobs, Chelsea have a great chance to sign Leeds United sensation Crysencio Summerville for a cut-price deal after Leeds failed to secure Premier League promotion, following a 1-0 defeat to Southampton during the qualifying round.
Summerville was the standout player for Leeds in the Championship, accumulating 19 goals and nine assists in 43 games last season. His impressive performance has attracted the attention of top clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool, who are eager to capitalize on the opportunity to sign him for an affordable fee.
Chelsea have been particularly impressed by Summerville’s performance and are keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge. The Dutch star fits perfectly into the club’s ambition to sign young, talented players and is currently regarded as one of the top prospects in football. The Blues will certainly not miss a chance to secure his services, given the reasonable transfer fee.
Jacobs’s revelation of his fee could see more parties joining the race to sign him after he confirmed the player will be available for a cut-price deal. Speaking to GiveMeSport, he said:
‘’And now that Leeds haven’t been promoted, there may be more of a cut-price deal available for somewhere between £30 and £40 million. That would have been higher had Leeds been promoted.’’
Summerville is an affordable player, and the Blues wouldn’t want to pass up this fantastic opportunity to sign him in the wake of Leeds’ failure to advance to the Premier League. The 22-year-old has all the makings to rise to the top of the team’s roster. Chelsea can sign the talented Dutchman within the same timeframe they signed Tosin Adarabioyo, ensuring they bolster their squad with young, promising talent.
Summerville is a great talent and will fit well into the Blues’ system. What makes him an intriguing player is his ability to excel in confined spaces and beat defenders with his pace. He is also a great finisher, and his goals are a testament to that.
However, Chelsea faces a challenge, as they already have three players who play left wing: Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, and Mykhaylo Mudryk. Adding Summerville would further congest that position. If the Blues are serious about signing Summerville, they will need to make room in the squad first.

Chelsea can strategically manage their roster to incorporate the talented Dutchman, aligning with their ambition to sign young, promising players. The Blues wouldn’t want to pass up this fantastic opportunity, given the reasonable transfer fee and Summerville’s potential impact on the team.
