Brazilian sensation Neymar has labelled Chelsea’s new signing Estevao Willian as a genius after the 17-year-old teenager finally completed a move to Stamford Bridge following the Blues’ prolonged interest in signing him.
Willian will join the West Londoners outfit from Palmeiras in a deal worth a reported €61.5 million ($66 million), making it one of the most expensive sales in the Brazilian club’s history. Willian has heaped praise from many people ever since he came to the fore, and the Blues quickly moved to sign him, wasting no time.
The teenager was promoted to the first team only last year and has established himself at Palmeiras. He will now move to the Premier League once he turns 18 and will be ready to show his talent under the lights of Stamford Bridge.
Former Barcelona star Neymar has already put his stock in him to succeed in his career and has praised the youngster. Speaking to the reporter, the Brazilian said via ESPN:
”He is a great talent that is emerging in Brazilian football today. I think he’s going to be a genius.”
Willian has already shown us glimpses of what he can do on the pitch, and given that he will soon be playing in the Premier League, he will further solidify his position in football and the fans will realise his potential in England.
Brazil is home to many talented players and has unearthed many such future stars. Neymar has been one of those who took football by storm in Europe and became one of the best players. Maybe his decision to join Paris Saint-Germain didn’t go well with the player, as from there he suffered many injuries that affected his career and minutes on the pitch. Nonetheless, he is still one of the top players in Europe.
