David Ornstein reveals Mauricio Pochettino could link with Manchester United after Chelsea exit

Journalist David Ornstein has spoken about Mauricio Pochettino’s potential next job at Manchester United after the Argentine manager decided to part ways with Chelsea on Tuesday. Ornstein reveals that, despite his exit from Stamford Bridge, the former Tottenham Hotspur head coach could land another job.

Pochettino is now linked with a Manchester United job as Erik ten Hag’s future remains up in the air. The journalist feels it is one to watch, though nothing is guaranteed so far. Pochettino ended his tenure at Chelsea by taking them to the sixth Premier League table and things began to look better under the Argentine as the season drew to an end,

He additionally led them to Carabao Cup final and FA Cup semi-final. However, it appeared it was not enough to remain at the club, as Pochettino decided to part ways with mutual consent. Now he is a free agent and is already linked to a job.

Ornstein confirmed that INEOS admires the Argentine and his work, but it’s too early to think about anything after he further revealed on the Sky Sports Back Pages podcast via GiveMeSport:

“I think Manchester United have been heavily linked with him for some time, before Ten Hag. He met with INEOS about the Nice job too, so there is a relationship there, and I’m sure that now that he is available, he will be thinking of clubs like Manchester United.’’

Pochettino’s work at Chelsea won’t go unnoticed, and the Argentine will attract plenty of jobs after the type of squad he took over at the club and managed to finish the season on a strong note. He is one of the elite managers, and when you give him all the tools, he will make your side one of the best teams in the league and Europe.

Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with Manchester United job.

If he is appointed as United manager, Pochettino won’t take enough time to change the current fortunes of the club because he is certainly one of the best managers. His first season at Chelsea is enough to indicate that he managed the club effectively with such a youthful roster, but when you give him more seasoned players, he is bound to turn the club into a competitive side.

Pochettino will have elite minds above him because INEOS has changed the board and assigned some highly qualified people to monitor the team’s recruitment; if all goes according to plan, he will shepherd Manchester United back to their era of dominance.
