Fabrizio Romano says English club's manager is 'super keen' on Chelsea job after Pochettino exit

Journalist Jason Burt says Mauricio Pochettino is open to taking Manchester United job after Chelsea exit

Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea for just a season by mutual consent after finishing sixth in the Premier League table. The Argentine manager’s Chelsea spell came to a sour end despite a strong end to the season.

However, since his exit, he is already drawing clubs, and journalist Jason Burt reveals the Argentine manager would love to take the Manchester United job if they decide to sack Erik ten Hag after the end of the season.

Even INEOS has targeted the 52-year-old and could name him the next manager. Nonetheless, there is a long way to go. Pochettino has already made his feelings clear about joining United. Coming to United could be a wise move for him and the board because getting a manager with Premier League experience will be crucial for the club’s ambitions for trophies.

If he receives an offer, then he would love to take over, as per Burt, who was speaking to Sky Sports and revealed the Argentine would be open to joining the club and further claimed via GiveMeSport:

“Pochettino would certainly love the job, which has been talked about in the past, and suddenly his availability makes him a candidate.’’

Since leaving Chelsea, Pochettino has elevated his profile as a hero. After all, when the club announced his departure, both the players and the fans were upset because they felt he had accomplished the club’s objectives and deserved another season at Chelsea.

Pochettino would be thrilled to take their position as head coach because he is one of the most seasoned managers and is familiar with the league’s operations. His achievements at Chelsea, where he oversaw a fractured and disjointed team, further solidify his credentials. One wonders what he can accomplish with a well-seasoned United team, considering how he elevated Chelsea to a silverware contender team in his first season.

With proper backing from the board, the Argentine can do wonders, and United have some excellent players who can thrive under him, such as Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, Alejandro Garancho, and Rasmus Hojlund.
