Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez confirms his stance on representing Argentina at 2024 Paris Olympics

Chelsea’s star, Enzo Fernandez, confirms he will represent Argentina at 2024 Olympics

Chelsea’s midfielder Enzo Fernandez made a request to his club that he wants to join his national team Argentina for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Footballers always want to play the game and represent their nations; nevertheless, it appears that Enzo is searching for another chance to play for Argentina, which might have an impact on Chelsea.

If he does play, Chelsea will be disappointed because he recently missed the last stretch of the Premier League season after undergoing surgery for an issue that had pretty much plagued him the entire time.

Because Chelsea has made a significant financial investment in this player, they will want to preserve it as much as possible. As a result, there will be worries about his health and the possibility of more injuries if he does play at the Olympics this summer.

Enzo himself confirmed his desire to represent his country at the Olympics. According to a report from ESPN Argentina’s official twitter account, Enzo said:

“I want to be in the Olympic Games. I spoke with [Javier] Mascherano and I told him that I want to go… let’s see with Chelsea if they let me go.”

Fernandez joined Lionel Scaloni’s preliminary 29-man squad on Monday, but if he doesn’t prove his fitness during the next few weeks, he may be one of three players drop out from the final roster.

It turns out that because Fernandez was younger than 23 at the beginning of the season, he may participate in the Olympics, which take place immediately after the Copa America.

Enzo Fernandez deeply wants Chelsea to approve his desire for the Olympics 2024

As Javier Mascherano, the manager of Argentina Under-23s, wants to include as many of the country’s best players as possible, Fernandez, the only member of the World Cup-winning team who is still eligible for the U23 team, is an especially crucial choice.
