Chelsea star Cole Palmer wins ‘Men’s Player of the Season’

Cole Palmer’s performance was duly recognised by Chelsea this season after the forward picked up Chelsea’s Men’s Player of the Season prize at an award ceremony held at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night. One can hardly imagine Palmer becoming an influential player for the Blues immediately.

It was a no-brainer that he would take the club’s best award because of the season the former Manchester City so has enjoyed. Scoring 21 goals in the league in your debut season is certainly the biggest achievement for a 21-year-old.

He turned around the team’s fate this season, as the Blues were at a standstill as to who would assume the team’s goal-scoring duties after going through one of their worst goal-scoring seasons in the previous year.

Palmer was always on the scoresheet and was a huge difference-maker for us, providing that clinical touch in front of the net. After winning the award, (h/t Metro), the forward said:

“It’s been a dream debut season for me. Thank you to the manager, staff, players, and, of course, the fans. I just came to play to showcase my abilities and talent to the fans. It’s gone amazing—probably better than I’d imagined. Buzzing!”

He deserves this award because his performances are enough to justify it, and what he has done in his first season as a Chelsea player is truly commendable because coming to a club that has been struggling to win games and picking them up and leading them to score 21 goals is incredible.

Former Tottenham man Garth Crooks full of praise for Chelsea star Cole Palmer vs Everton

Coming to Chelsea was a tough decision for him to get more minutes and show his talent, which he couldn’t at Manchester City. He not only improved the team, but he also made a big difference and changed the fortunes of the club.

More Chelsea news

Even though he is only 21 years old, his performance is already astounding us, and if Chelsea continues to achieve this level of success for longer next season, he will undoubtedly be on the Ballon d’Or podium sooner than later.
