Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson showed his discontent with Mauricio Pochettino’s departure from the club after West Londoners announced on Tuesday evening that Pochettino had left the club by mutual consent.
Jackson expressed his unhappiness and shared a photo with him on Instagram with the caption, ‘’Love you, coach. I wish we could stay together more, but may God continue to bless you and your family. Thanks for the advice and support. You are a true lion and a fighter. I wish you all the best.’’ With a red heart and facepalm emoji.
Pochettino’s exit has come as a big shock for the pundits and players because it was least expected given how Chelsea finished the season under him and effectively performed. He was certainly instrumental in developing this young squad sooner.
Jackson expressed dissatisfaction with the club’s decision to let go of the Argentine manager. The Senegalese gained a lot of knowledge under him and he felt Pochettino should have lasted longer. Pochettino should be commended for his man-management skills because he contributed to the personal development of several of the young players.
It will take some time for Jackson to accept reality because he is certainly one of the most improved players under Pochettino, scoring 14 goals in the Premier League despite starting the campaign slowly. He felt he wanted to spend more time under him and show the former Southampton manager how he has helped transform his game.
Jackson will be attempting to demonstrate to the new manager that he should continue to be in the starting lineup by getting off to a solid start in the upcoming campaign. We have a striker with the potential to rack up 20 goals or more in a season once he polishes his final touch.
It will be an interesting summer for the Blues and Jackson is going to be the most exciting player to watch next campaign because he will be ready to challenge individual prices and lead the club to trophies.
