Chelsea continue spending spree as they seal the deal for Brazilian prodigy

Chelsea set to sign Brazilian wonderkid Estevão Willian

Chelsea FC are looking to stick to their recent policy of bringing highly rated young players to Stamford Bridge as they reach an agreement to sign Brazilian teenager Estevão Willian, per Fabrizio Romano.

Since 2022, the consortium of Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, and BlueCo has looked to acquire some of the highest-rated talents in world football in West London. To put that into context, the Blues have signed as many as 27 players under the age of 23 since they took over the reins at the club. The list of talents acquired by the West Londoners includes, but is not limited to, the likes of Mykhalo Mudryk, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, and Wesley Fofana, with the club spending a whopping £427 million only on the aforementioned players.

Despite the inconsistencies on the pitch, Chelsea are playing the long game as they look to add another highly acclaimed talent to the above-mentioned list.

The 17-year-old ace has been regarded as one of the best upcoming talents in Brazil, and he is set to move to Stamford Bridge in 2025. He has been nicknamed “Messinho” owing to his outstanding abilities with the ball and has also been linked with a move to Arsenal and Real Madrid. However, it looks like Chelsea are determined to bring the Palmeiras prodigy to West London.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the initial agreement on the personal terms reached with the player and his representatives, and the clubs will now speak for a probable transfer for Messinho, with the Blues preparing a €32 million plus add-ons initial bid.
