Chelsea have telling advantage over PSG in race for £111m goal machine as Armando Broja exit could be on the horizon

Chelsea has the upper hand over PSG in the transfer battle for the £111 million Napoli star amid exit chances of Armando Broja

Chelsea are ready to be in an advantageous position over PSG in the transfer battle for the Napoli goal machine, Victor Osimhen. Whether it be financially or according to the star’s preference, Chelsea will have the upper hand over their rival PSG.

For Chelsea, there are still a lot of unknowns this summer. While worrying about possible expenditure violations that can affect transfer activity, Todd Boehly is planning to make a decision about Mauricio Pochettino‘s future.

It is no secret that Chelsea is having a rough season, clearly lacking in certain areas. With the Blues having a poor conversion rate, attack is one of their weak areas. Their star attacker, Nicolas Jackson, has not been in great form, only scoring 13 goals in 39 appearances this season.

Making a huge name for himself, Victor Osimhen has been a remarkable striker for Napoli this season. The star has caught the eyes of Chelsea and PSG, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in just 29 appearances for Napoli this season. But it seems PSG will not stand a great chance against Chelsea in this transfer battle.

Chelsea’s financial advantage

Chelsea would have to make the necessary cuts to their roster to accommodate transfer demands across the board, particularly offensively. The Blues would thus probably find Victor Osimhen’s alleged £111 million price tag to be too high. However, given Chelsea’s future plans, it appears like they will be able to finance the star.

With the likes of Chelsea’s Armando Broja, who is on loan to Fulham and star midfielder Conor Gallagher‘s contract due to expire in 2025, Chelsea could be at pure profit selling these two in the market window this season.

Gallagher could yet stay if he puts pen to paper on a new deal, but one man who definitely appears to be on his way out of Chelsea is Armando Broja. The striker is already out on loan and it would make total sense to sell him this summer, bringing in the necessary funds to facilitate the required offensive boost.

Osimhen gave indirect preference to the Blues

Osimhen revealed his intention to relocate this summer some months ago, and he has never concealed his admiration for the Premier League. Football. London claim that if the Napoli star decides to transfer to England, Chelsea would be his first choice.

With Madrid potentially poised to bring in Kylian Mbappe, a move to Paris to replace the France hero looks more likely given his weighty valuation. However, Chelsea may have an advantage over their opponents should they decide to take Osimhen seriously.

Chelsea currently sits in ninth place in the Premier League standings, with their hopes of European qualification diminishing match-by-match. Given that this season has been a lost cause, Osimhen could truly turn out to be the bright light Chelsea desperately desires in their current dark times.
