Cheslea exploring move for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville
Chelsea have joined other Premier League clubs for the highly-rated, talented star Crysencio Summerville. And the forward could be available in the market after Leeds United failed to secure promotion to the Premier League.
According to the Telegraph (subscription required), Leeds are braced for bids from Premier League clubs, and Chelsea are already emerging as front-runners to sign the forward as they continue their hunt to bring top-talented young players to the club.
Liverpool are also keen on signing the 22-year-old Dutchman, who has been rated around £30 million ($38.3 million) by the Championship side. Leeds lost 1-0 to Southampton in the play-off match despite being the most dominant side in the ELF Championship last season.
Summerville enjoyed a great season, with Leeds scoring 21 times across all competitions, and now that the club has failed to earn promotion to the English top-flight league, he might not miss the chance to play for a Premier League club next season.
He has all the makings to be one of the best players, and it will be intriguing to watch which team signs him given the interest shown by teams such as Chelsea and Liverpool. Although the Blues wouldn’t want to pass up such a talented player, they will need to decide where Summerville fits in with the presence of players like Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, and Mykhaylo Mudryk on the left wing.
Then, given that Sterling has once again fallen short of expectations—scoring just eight goals in the league—we could be thinking about selling him during the summer transfer window as he has been linked with an exit from the club.
Summerville is your traditional winger who likes to cut inside onto his strong foot and has the ability to drive the ball on his right side to either prepare for a shot or play the pass. In the Premier League as well, he proved his mettle when Leeds were in the league, and the forward scored four goals.

But if Chelsea really wants to sign, then they will have to free up space on the left wing; otherwise, it will just create chaos, and the club will have too many players operating from the same wing.
