Romeo Lavia sends heartfelt message to departed Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino

Many players showed their love and wished the departed Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, well after the club announced that the Argentine had agreed to leave them by mutual consent on Tuesday.

Romeo Lavia, who was signed by Chelsea from Southampton for a reported fee of £58 million, sent a message to the former Tottenham Hotspur manager through his Instagram story where he posted photos with him and captioned it, ‘’appreciate all your support this year, boss. Thank you, and all the best for the future.”

The players who evolved under Pochettino’s guidance and who feel that he improved their game and helped them become better people were devastated by his departure. It was unfortunate that he had to go so quickly.

He was backed by the players, who were happy with the 52-year-old continuing for next season. But the sudden decision from the board has not gone well with players and fans, who have also expressed their faith and were hoping to see him remain at the club for next term.

If the board has made a wise decision, it will be known next season how the team will start the campaign under a new manager. Because a lot of things will be exposed if we don’t start the next term on a positive note.

Lavia, who spent most of the season out injured, played only one game, and it was unfortunate that he couldn’t play under the Argentine. Given how much Moises Caicedo grew with the help of Pochettino Lavia, he could have been one of them, but maybe it was not his fate.

If he remains fit for next season, then he will have a big role to play as Chelsea are leaning towards selling Conor Gallagher, which will free up space for Belgium to play alongside Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, and it will be interesting to see how the trio gels.
