Chelsea scouts have told the club’s board to sign Benjamin Sesko
Chelsea scouts have consistently told the Blues’ board to target RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko next summer. The Blues will be on the hunt for a striker in the market come the summer window.
According to GiveMeSport via Express, Sesko could emerge as the Blues’ target for next season after the club scout recommended the board to sign him next summer but Chelsea will face stiff competition from London rivals Arsenal.
A few names have emerged on the club’s shortlist, and among them, Victor Osimhen is higher on the list of their acquisitions, though if they are to sign any player, the club will first have to make a chunk of profit to comply with the Financial Fair Play Rule.
The Blues signed Nicolas Jackson, who has greatly enhanced his performance and is seemingly settling into the league. Jackson already has 12 goals in his first season as a Blues player, and this record is enough to justify his improvement as the season progressed.
Since Jackson is still in his early 20s, it wouldn’t be a smart idea to recruit another young striker, especially since Sesko will need some time to adjust to the intensity of the Premier League. It’s a smart decision to bring in a seasoned striker to give Jackson some genuine competition.
Sesko has one less goal 11 across all competitions compared to Jackson’s tally, but there is a huge contrast in which league they are playing in. If we want to hone Jackson’s game further, then signing an experienced striker will be a more rational decision.

Although it is impressive that our scouts are able to identify promising individuals, if we want to be more potent in front of goal the following season, we should centre on acquiring a proven striker. Jackson has performed admirably and elevated his level of play. It will be prudent to bring in an experienced striker to give him some competition.
