Chelsea’s official Instagram post posted a photo of Cole Palmer with the caption ‘’Cold Palmer’’ where the forward was seen recovering in a room that has temperatures below -100°C for up to three minutes.

Palmer’s teammate Trevoh Chalobah commented on a post with the freezing emoji ‘’Bro is in the lab regenerating” Palmer has been a revelation for Chelsea this season. The forward has set many unprecedented records since arriving here.

In a disorganised squad, he has been the main difference-maker and elevated the Blues’ performance overall above what it was during the previous season. This season, the 21-year-old has already scored 13 goals in all competitions.

He is the only player aged 21 who has been directly involved in more goals in Europe’s top five leagues this season than Cole Palmer (19). And with each game, he only gets better and has also added his finishing touch to Chelsea’s lack of profligacy in front of the goal.

The Blues have intelligent players at their disposal, and the forward record illustrates for itself. Hopefully, Mauricio Pochettino will foster his performance to the greatest degree and soon Palmer’s qualities may lead to future Ballon d’Or shoutouts.

He is also going head-to-head in terms of goals scored with Real Madrid starlet Jude Bellingham. The forward is second to his compatriot in most goals recorded this season in the top five leagues.

Palmer chose a risky path by joining Chelsea, a team that was struggling to win games. It says a lot about a player’s character that he came to Chelsea despite the club’s predicament. He already impressed fans in his debut season as a Chelsea player and has certainly become a household name at West London club.

Chalobah, meanwhile, has finally made a comeback after a lengthy absence from the field. The defender has been a regular for the Argentine boss in previous games and has given Pochettino other alternatives following the injuries to Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill.
