Chelsea are open to selling Marc Cucurella next summer
The following summer window will once again see another overhaul of the Chelsea squad as the Blues will be looking to get rid of many players, and Marc Cucurella is one of the names who may depart the club after just two years here.
According to Todofichajes, Cucurella’s end of time at Chelsea has come way sooner than we expected, and the left-back will be ready to leave the Blues after struggling to leave the same impression he had at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Cucurella never lived up to the price tag that the Blues paid to sign him, considering that he was injured for the majority of his time at Chelsea. He was signed with a lot of hype given his time at Brighton and now the Blues will be prepared to stake their hopes on him to earn a respectable sum.
And now, trying his hand at some other club could only revive his career. The Spanish international has also urged his agent to look for clubs in Spain, having developed at Eibar and Getafe. The Blues have slapped a £62 million price tag on the left-back, and it will be interesting to see which club matches his value.
Is Cucurella time at Chelsea is up?
It’s been two years, and the 25-year-old has yet to reach his best level. The Spanish left-back hasn’t had a great time at Chelsea, and for most of the season, he has been out with injuries, which left Mauricio Pochettino with few options at the fullback position.
A player who has played in the Premier League shouldn’t face such problems after joining a different club from a similar league. But Cucurella has been inconsistent with his performances, which saw him barely used at the start of this season, and when he picked up his form, he suffered a fresh injury, which kept him out of the game for two months.

If we are getting a good profit from his exit, then Chelsea can think about sanctioning his sale, but finding his replacement will be necessary given Ben Chilwell is just another player who hasn’t been fully available all the time.
