Chelsea and Barcelona set to fight for Brazilian sensation Estevao Willian
As per Fichajes, Barcelona and Chelsea are set to indulge in a battle for the Brazilian sensation, who has drawn comparisons to Lionel Messi and Estevao Willian. However, Barcelona have a compelling reason to sign the forward who would rather play for them.
During an interview, he clearly revealed that he hopes to join Barcelona one day. Nonetheless, the Blues are keen on signing the 16-year-old forward. Chelsea under the ownership of Todd Boehly, have expressed great determination in scouting Brazilian sensations.
They have also brought in players like Andrey Santos and Angelo Gabriel, and they are currently making every effort to bring in Estevao Willian, who has shown a great deal of talent and has been referred to as the younger Messinho.
Who is Estevao Willian?
Willian has been gifted with a lot of potential, and his performance has attracted the interest of many clubs. His exploits at the young age of 16 have seen him likened to Messi. He operates on his right wing and doesn’t fear beating defenders; his technical ability stands out for him, and he thrives under pressure.
He made his senior debut for Palmeiras against Cruzeiro in December 2023 at the age of 16 years and seven months, and he has received accolades for his flair and dribbling skills.
Chelsea has shown tremendous diligence in scouting these young talents. The goal of the team, which is owned by Boehly, is to forge an identity and assemble a roster for the future. They wish to halt the recruitment of players older than 25 and the hiring and firing of managers.
Their goal is to assemble a youthful team that, with time, will prove to be among the best. The true issue, though, is that Chelsea supporters are so impatient that they are unwilling to wait this long for the team to develop. Therefore, if we sign Estevao, he won’t be able to perform well in such a demanding environment.
