International Watch: 3 Chelsea stars get on the scoresheet including Enzo Fernandez for Argentina

Chelsea stars Enzo Fernandez, Noni Madueke and Cesare Casadei were all on the scoresheet for their respective national teams

Three Chelsea players have been standout performers for their national teams during the March international break. Enzo Fernandez, Noni Madueke, and Cesare Casadei all made significant contributions, showcasing their talent on the international stage.

Enzo Fernandez impressed for Argentina, helping his team secure a 3-0 victory over El Salvador in March friendlies. Fernandez was instrumental in Argentina’s win, contributing alongside his teammates Christian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso with a goal of his own.

Noni Madueke continued his fine form with an impressive goal for England U21s in their Euro U21 qualification match against Azerbaijan U21. Madueke’s goal added to his recent standout performance for Chelsea in the FA Cup, where he scored in a 4-2 win over Leicester City.

Cesare Casadei also made his mark for Italy U21s, finding the back of the net in their 2-0 win against Latvia U21. Casadei’s goal helped Italy secure victory in their international fixture, highlighting the talent and versatility of Chelsea’s young stars on the international stage.

This season has seen a significant improvement in Fernandez’s goal-scoring prowess, with the midfielder netting seven times in all competitions. His ability to find the back of the net consistently highlights the strides he has made in front of goal, adding a valuable dimension to Chelsea’s attacking play.

Madueke, while not featuring as frequently this season, has capitalized on his opportunities to showcase his scoring ability. His goal against Leicester City in the FA Cup demonstrated his talent and potential to contribute to Chelsea’s goal-scoring efforts when called upon.

Chelsea’s improved goal-scoring form this season is evident across the squad, with contributions from various players. Unlike last season, where the team struggled to find the net consistently, this campaign has seen a more balanced distribution of goals among the players, reflecting the team’s evolution in attack.

Mauricio Pochettino recognizes the quality of Madueke and aims to nurture his talent at Chelsea. Madueke’s impressive performances, including winning the Golden Boot as the top scorer at the U21 FIFA World Cup, highlight his potential to make a significant impact at the club. Pochettino’s intention to carefully manage Madueke’s development underscores the importance of maximizing his abilities within the team.

Similarly, Casadei’s knack for finding the back of the net comes as no surprise, considering his track record of goal-scoring prowess. His ability to contribute goals consistently, as demonstrated in his performance for Italy U21s, adds another dimension to Chelsea’s midfield options.
