Malo Gusto says he enjoyed Chelsea fans signing Three Little Birds by Bob Marley
Malo Gusto recently shared his enjoyment of Chelsea fans’ rendition of Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” alongside his teammates during their 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Marley, one of the most iconic singers of his time, released the song in 1980 with The Wailers. It remains a beloved anthem worldwide.
The Chelsea faithful brought the tune to life during their match against Palace at Selhurst Park. Despite the Blues trailing 1-0 in the first half, the PA system’s play of “Three Little Birds” united both sets of fans in a sing-along, creating a memorable moment of camaraderie.
Chelsea’s fans, undeterred, continued their vocal support, singing “Don’t worry about a thing, because every little thing is gonna be alright!” as the team overturned the deficit to secure a 3-1 win. This anthem’s message of optimism resonates deeply, mirroring the hope that Chelsea’s future remains bright despite current challenges.
In his recent interview with Sky Sports, the right-back was asked what he loved about Chelsea’s fans, (h/t Metro), and he said:
‘’My dad loves this song [too]. But yeah, it’s our song, if you can say this. We are very happy to have these types of fans.’’
Is it going to be alright?
Chelsea supporters are known for their passionate backing of the team, celebrating their successes and holding them accountable in times of struggle. Bob Marley’s legacy as a musician who crafted timeless hits still echoes today, inspiring not just music lovers but football fans too.
Looking ahead, Chelsea faces a challenging match against Newcastle United. The players are hopeful for the fans’ continued support, particularly if they can replicate their performance against Palace. Newcastle, known for their resilience, has historically posed a challenge for Chelsea. Yet, the team remains optimistic, aiming to deliver a strong performance at home.
