Nicolas Jackson posts seven-word message after fiery moment with Chelsea teammate vs Man City

Nicolas Jackson was upset with Chelsea teammate Enzo Fernandez vs Manchester City

Nicolas Jackson made his feelings clear in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City. He posted a photo of himself with his teammates with the caption, “One team, one family. Let’s go Blues [blue heart emoji].” Jackson, who started as No. 9, and Raheem Sterling on the left wing combined to give Chelsea a breakthrough before halftime.

The Blues were better for the first half of the game and had plenty of chances to extend their lead. Jackson himself missed a sitter when Malo Gusto found the striker in the box.

But Jackson made amends with an impressive pass to Sterling, who cut inside Kyle Walker before curling the ball past Ederson. After the interval, the former Villarreal forward had another wonderful chance to double the lead.

Christopher Nkunku, who had the ball, was dispossessed, and the Senegalese international lined up to shoot, but Enzo Fernandez lashed his strike wide of the mark. Jackson was upset with Fernandez’s decision-making and made it known, but after the final whistle, both players sorted it out and gave the Blues a point against City.

Jackson showed great composure against City.

Fernandez was certainly at fault there; Jackson was in a better position to shoot the ball before the Argentine abruptly took his chance, which went wide from the goalpost. But these things are normal in football, and players tend to make such hasty decisions. This was eventually sorted out between both players.

Enzo Fernandez has been sensational for Chelsea this season.

Besides missing that 1v1 chance with the goalie, Jackson was overall better and demonstrated his calmness amid the chaos. But once he eliminates those clumsy touches and finishes with a first chance, then we will have a great centre-forward with us.

Jackson’s upfront style makes it difficult for our opponent to get momentum. Even though he is only one man, he has a lot of drive. On Saturday, he caused a great deal of headaches for the city defence, and he will only get better with each match.
