The odds are against us, and it’s time to defy them. Liverpool are favourites in this competition, and taking the trophy home will be a massive achievement for this young squad, which has suffered the most since the arrival of a new owner.
Our ultimate goal is to win the trophy, but if we don’t, that’s acceptable too—at the very least, we’ll have to fight our way through this match.
