A View From The Bridge

Cole Palmer set Chelsea Premier League record after his goal in Wolves loss

Cole Palmer continues to shine for Chelsea despite the club’s struggles

Cole Palmer has been the best signing of the season for us, and the amount of quality he has added to the squad is astonishing. The former Manchester City star has been a statement acquisition and has continued to remain a threat in front of the net.

His goal against Wolves saw him become the first-ever player aged 21 or under to score 10+ goals in a single Premier League season for Chelsea. It is a pity that a player of his quality hasn’t been utilised to his full potential.

However, his recruitment wasn’t met with much excitement as fans assumed he wasn’t a particular player the club needed after the forward was barely used at Manchester City. Well, so far, Palmer has now become a fan favourite and continues to impress with his slick passes and goals. He has already surpassed last season’s top goal-scorer tally.

Palmer has so far operated on the right wing, but the forward is more dangerous playing behind the striker, as there he can be more creative and be a provider. Nevertheless, he has remained at his peak in his performance playing on the right wing.

He has already scored 10 goals this season for this faltering Chelsea side, who have come under immense pressure after two humbling losses to Liverpool and Wolves. Now one can imagine how good he will be when he plays for an organised Chelsea side.

Palmer marks one of the top Chelsea signings

Although Palmer appears to be in his mid-20s on the pitch and wealth of experience he adds but when you realize he is just 21 makes one wonder how good he is at such a young age and if he continues like this then we will have a top prodigy.

Cole Palmer now has 10 goals for Chelsea in his first season.

He didn’t get much playing time under Pep Guardiola, but he still learnt a lot from him, and when a player is guided by one of the best managers in history, he will undoubtedly rise to the top.

We are quite fortunate to have signed him, and we hope he will keep establishing himself as he has a great potential to be one of Chelsea’s stars for years to come.
