Arsenal plan to swoop in and sign Chelsea target who will leave Serie A club

Arsenal prepare to compete with Chelsea in pursuit of Victor Osimhen

As per ESPN, Chelsea will face competition from Arsenal, who will join the Blues in pursuit of Victor Osimhen after the Napoli president confirmed the striker will leave Serie A.

Osimhen has been touted to join the Premier League after his heroics last season, and the 24-year-old has continued his excellent form this campaign. He has now taken his national team, Nigeria, to the African Cup of Nations semi-final.

The former LOSC Lill player recently signed a new contract with a new release clause of £100 million, and if Arsenal are to sign the sought-after player, they will need to activate his release clause.

Arsenal have been dealt with poor goalscoring form and were in the market for a prolific centre-forward in the January window but couldn’t land due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) fears.

The Gunners are also keen on acquiring Ivan Toney, who has returned to action after being banned for eight months following his breach of Premier League betting rules.

Arsenal will have a big decision to make in the summer window, as both strikers could be available to move to another club. But the North Londoners will face intense competition from Chelsea who have earmarked Osimhen as their primary target next summer.

Arsenal have struggled to score goals but Chelsea’s issues are even more severe. The West Londoners have been ponderous and unreliable in front of goal. Mauricio Pochettino has found it frustrating to watch and will be hoping that the team signs an explosive striker who can ensure goals every game.

Arsenal are ready to battle Chelsea for Victor Osimhen next summer.

The Nigerian forward will have a big decision to make next summer and could be tempted by a move to Arsenal, who have been better and might also offer him European football. Despite playing well, the Gunners have not been able to win a trophy, which the Blues can offer.

The team is rapidly assembling, and they require a striker. With the addition of a striker of Osimhen’s proficiency, we will quickly establish ourselves as a formidable team and begin to contend for trophies.
