Prolific African marksman open to making Chelsea summer switch

Chelsea target Victor Osimhen open to moving to Stamford Bridge next summer

As per the Daily Mail, Chelsea are set to spend big once again in the 2024 summer transfer window, and their top target, Victor Osimhen is now open to joining the Blues.

The centre-forward recently signed a new deal with Napoli to fend off interest from other European clubs. But the Blues are ready to break the bank once again to land the prolific striker and reinforce

However, this time Osimhen has a new release clause that is thought to be around £103 million, which should be enough for the West London club to fork out the next summer transfer window. After all, we have not shown restraint under Todd Boehly in the windows gone by.

Chelsea ready to move for Victor Osimhen next summer.

They will also need to make a profit because the club will have to comply with the Financial Fair Play rule if they want to avoid breaking any Premier League FFP law.

The recent 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough once again highlighted the Blues’ desperate need for a striker as the Mauricio Pochettino side missed 20 chances in the match.

However, there is still some hope that the players will be able to overturn the deficit in their return fixture at Stamford Bridge, and it will be mainly down to their clinical in front of the net. Whatever the result, one thing is sure: Chelsea should look for a ruthless striker next summer because they cannot continue to miss big opportunities during the matches.

Osimhen is said to be open to a move to Chelsea, and then we shouldn’t think twice about signing him. He is the ideal striker we need for next season if we want to compete at the top level. He makes scoring goals look easy, and given the amount of support he will get from our creative players, he will be able to compete with other Premier League centre-forwards.

Considering our hefty spending, we shouldn’t face any problems landing him, as his release clause seems affordable. But we will also have to offload some players to make some profit because continuing to spend without making any revenue could lead to us breaching the FFP.
