Mauricio Pochettino believes movie promotion during football games is good for business
Mauricio Pochettino feels movie promotion during the games is good for the fans and football business after Dua Lipa was in the stands to witness the Chelsea 1-0 win against Fulham.
The famous artist was promoting her forthcoming movie, Argylle. There were another couple of people sitting near the dugout who were seen brushing their teeth and reading books.
It is also understood that Todd Boehly is part of the production team of the new spy thriller movie Dua Lipa, and maybe he might have invited her to promote her movie during the Chelsea game.
However, reporters wanted to know Pochettino’s view on the celebrity coming to promote their movie, (h/t Football.London), and the Argentine manager said after the game:
“I was aware. It didn’t impact the spectable. Today we were talking about the VAR. In a few weeks, football will be open to many different businesses, and many things can happen. It did not affect the professionals. It’s nice for the fans; it’s nice to see the promotion of the film, and Argylle looks very good (I’m not too sure fans will agree). I hope they will invite me to the premiere.”
What Pochettino reiterated is certainly on point because everything is now a business, and it is sometimes good for celebrities to show up and watch the games. However, this was different as Dua Lipa was here to promote her movie, while a bunch of people might have looked strange as they were brushing their teeth.
That is unimportant, though, because we overinvested in the game. After all, winning was what mattered most. We finally prevailed after a tense battle with Fulham that lasted until the very end which saw us finally move above 10th position in the league.

Their promotion might also help earn the owner profit following heavy spending under them. Hopefully, we will see more such movies promoted during big matches as well.
