Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech set to remain at Galatasaray amid rumours of exit
According to Bladi.Net, Hakim Ziyech agent George Gardi has dismissed rumours regarding his exit from Galatasaray in the upcoming summer, as the Chelsea star is set to remain at the club beyond his loan spell.
It was earlier reported that the Turkish club was set to cancel its loan spell after the forward joined his national team for the African Cup of Nations.
But Ziyech’s agent was quick to turn down the rumours, and Galatasaray are happy to keep moving forward. Ziyech has been in fine form, scoring four goals in 14 games in all competitions.
Ziyech joined the Turkish club last summer after his failed move to Paris Saint-Germain last winter. The Moroccan has been pushing for the move since last summer.
Now Ziyech is set to miss club football action due to the AFCON, as he hopes to lead his national side to the AFCON trophy. It’s also unlikely that Chelsea will retain the forward even if Galatasaray cancels his loan, as they will look to sell him next summer.
The Blues don’t need another creative forward, as they already have Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke, and the recent emergence of Madueke will certainly leave no place for the former Ajax forward.
The 30-year-old has done pretty well, and his Champions League performance against Manchester United should indicate that Ziyech is a big-game player and can change the outcome of the match.
Galatasaray will be eager to keep him if he does well for Morocco at the AFCON, but it also relies on his mood since when he is inconsistent.
