He had won every trophy with the Reds and would have gone down as one of the most famous captains of the club had he not made that poor mistake, which changed everything for the club and his career.

The players and spectators were inconsolable since they were so close to taking home the championship. But the former England player’s error changed everything for the team. Liverpool went on to win the league in 2019–20. However, Reds supporters will never get over that 2013–14 memory and may always have nightmares about it.
