Chelsea reduce asking price and willing to accept loan offers for star forward

Chelsea are now accepting a loan move for Armando Broja to help balance the books

Chelsea seem desperate to find a suitor for Armando Broja after putting him on sale, as they look to make some profit following heavy spending last summer.

According to Sun, (h/t Metro) the Blues have lowered Broja’s asking price to £35m and are even open to accepting a loan for their academy striker. The Blues are aware of other clubs’ FFP issues and will allow Broja to leave on a short-term deal with an obligation to buy in the summer.

They are now even ready to accept a loan move for the striker, who has made 13 appearances and scored two goals this season for the Blues. Broja returned from a knee injury last August and has been largely used as a substitute.

Since Nicolas Jackson has departed for the African Cup of Nations, the Albanian is the only striker Mauricio Pochettino has at his disposal, and he has the trust of the Argentine manager.

Chelsea feels Broja’s exit will allow the club to make the easiest profit, which will also help the West Londoners balance the book with sales going above 100 per cent pure profit.

The 22-year-old has garnered a slew of interest from Premier League sides like West Ham, Fulham, and Wolves, but they won’t pay £50 million for the striker, and this has prompted the Blues to lower his fee and even accept a loan move for him.

When we sell our academy players, like we did with Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Fikyao Tomori, we generate a healthy profit. When things at Chelsea don’t work out, they additionally succeed when they join other teams. Broja needs to make a smart choice since his playing time will drastically reduce and he will find it difficult to succeed here if we do decide to recruit a striker.

Going to other Premier League sides will be more beneficial, even if it is short-term. Chelsea desperately want to make some profit because they are looking to reinforce some areas such as defence, the No. 9, and midfield.
