Al-Hilal set to come with fresh offer for Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku next summer
Saudi Pro League side continues to monitor Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, who joined AS Roma last summer. Al-Hilal are keen on bringing the forward to the Middle East and will return with a new offer by the end of the season.
According to Calciomercato, (h/t ESPN), Al-Hilal are set to offer the former Everton striker a two-year contract with new wages, which should be enough to lure the forward to the Saudi club.
Lukaku came close to joining the Saudi club before rejecting the offer and joining Roma. The Serie A club recently parted ways with Jose Mourinho who was key to securing the Belgian forward from Chelsea.
It will be interesting to see if the 30-year-old will remain at the Serie A club once his loan spell expires after they sacked Mourinho. Lukaku has continued his rich form, registering 15 goals in 26 matches across all competitions.
Lukaku is a player Chelsea wants off their books, no matter what club he plays for. However, his current stellar form will primarily determine the outcome since other European teams may make an effort for the forward.
The forward may be persuaded to join the Saudi club by money alone. The offers Middle Eastern clubs made last summer drew in many elite players as they continued to build the status of their league.
Meanwhile, Lukaku can either continue at Roma or join another club, but Chelsea are unlikely to call him back as they want to sign a new striker, and his exit will also help the club get rid of his wages.

His return could also disrupt the team, which has been reinvigorated under Mauricio Pochettino. Hopefully, he will continue his rich form and other clubs will express interest, because bringing him back shouldn’t ever be an option for us. He seems to have European qualities still, so it will be his decision if he wants to continue in Europe or join the Saudi club for the money.
