Borussia Dortmund snap up Chelsea star in £2m temporary transfer
Ian Maatsen’s loan move to Borussia Dortmund has been officially confirmed, marking the 21-year-old left-back’s transition to German football for at least the remainder of the season.
While the current arrangement does not include an option or obligation for Dortmund to secure Maatsen permanently, there always remains a chance of a potential permanent move which could prove to be a viable outcome before the start of the next season.

Despite Chelsea’s injury issues in the left-back position, Maatsen has had limited opportunities to feature for the club this season.
