What Nicolas Jackson did to be dragged away by Chelsea personnel after 2-0 Everton loss

Nicolas Jackson was involved in a brawl after Chelsea lost to Everton at Goodison Park

There was more to the game following Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Everton, as furious Nicolas Jackson was dragged into the tunnel by Chelsea staff after the final whistle.

According to the Evening Standard, (h/t Mirror), the Senegalese was caught in a bust-up, which saw Mauricio Pochettino intervene and calm the striker down. The 22-year-old replaced Armando Broja in the 67th minute but couldn’t conjure anything as his side fell to a demoralising loss.

The Blues suffered another disappointing defeat after a midweek loss to Manchester United, which puts the club in 12th place in the Premier League table. In the second half, goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure and substitute Lewis Dobbin saw Toffees steer to a convincing win.

Chelsea, meanwhile, moved closer to the relegation zone as a result of their decline in points. This young Chelsea team is suddenly floundering and not producing the desired results, which is adding to the growing tension.

Pochettino is already under increasing pressure and has also lost three key members to injuries: Reece James, Robert Sanchez, and Marc Cucurella.

The Blues will next face Sheffield United on Saturday and will hope to recover from two defeats in a row. It was an average display from Chelsea, who looked clueless in the game.

Jackson’s brawl after the whistle was another embarrassing incident we should want to prevent, as there will only be consequences for him. He was fortunate not to receive a card from the officials. Although the details of what transpired are unknown, Jackson needs to learn to regulate his emotions throughout the game because losing control can lead to nasty situations.

Hopefully, it was nothing serious after the game because he might face lengthy bans or even a months-long ban. Jackson has improved since joining us, which is impressive considering how young he is, and he should eventually establish himself as a reliable goal scorer for us.
