Nicolas Jackson praises ‘amazing’ Chelsea teammate he is striking up a chemistry with after Sheffield United win

Nicolas Jackson explains how he has formed a reliable partnership with Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer

Nicolas Jackson says he is forming a great partnership with Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer on the pitch after a 2-0 win over Sheffield United, where both players are on the scoresheet.

Jackson is currently Chelsea’s top scorer with seven goals, while Palmer is second with six. Both forwards have taken on Chelsea’s goal-scoring responsibility nicely.

The Blues, who struggled to find the back of the net last season, signed Jackson, who has now already matched Chelsea’s last-season top goalscorer tally in Premier League.

It’s Jackson’s first season in the Premier League, and the striker has already been impressive despite criticism for not being clinical in front of the goal.

He has been great for us, but there is still enough room for development, and the Senegalese forward will certainly refine it with each game. But thanks to Palmer, who has helped the striker bag goals, and Jackson, who hasn’t failed to acknowledge this and told Chelsea’s website:

‘Cole was amazing today and is an amazing player. We are getting to know each other better, and if you start winning, the winning ways will come back.’

Jackson and Palmer could become the best attacking duo.

For us, Jackson has been underappreciated, and supporters should realise that he has already scored seven goals in his debut Premier League campaign, which says a lot about his quality. We must acknowledge that he is still a young player who is already performing above expectations. If he continues to score, we could see him reach 20 goals by the end of the season.

Palmer’s addition has added more creativity in the squad and his ability to find other players with his crosses and passing is just immaculate. Palmer seems like a great deal right now because he is simply extremely beneficial for us. His talent for the game is incomparable, and he has all the makings of an upcoming Chelsea star.

Palmer and Jackson have both been scoring goals, and their understanding of each other on the pitch is starting to click. Once they form that tandem, more goals will inevitably follow.
