Chelsea are willing to splash 100 million Euros to bring Joao Palhinha and Dusan Vlahovic to Stamford Bridge
Chelsea are in a dire state, leaving their fans not much to rejoice about. Apart from the ever-growing injury list, there is also poor performance to deal with. Pressure looms within the club with each passing week. Undoubtedly, it is Mauricio Pochettino who is in the crosshairs.
According to Spanish publication Fichajes. the Blues boss have handed in a request to get Joao Palhinha and Dusan Vlahovic. This seems to be a strong attempt from the Argentine to fill the gaps within the squad.
Chelsea are estimated to splash a total of 100 million Euros to grab the deal. The scales tip towards Fulham star Palhina, as the club are ready to spend close to 60 million Euros for him.
The West Londoners have invested a lot in transfers over the last few seasons. They are yet to reap the benefit as the club is out of European competitions and occupy a humble spot in the PL table. The coach believes, Palhinha can add depth to the midfield and so can Vlahovic up front.
Chelsea’s failed luxury with incoming players
The fans have had the chance to welcome many newcomers over the last three seasons. Chelsea beat Liverpool to grab midfield duo Moises Caceido and Roméo Lavia, particularly at the start of this season. Neither Caceido nor Lavia could prove to be as impactful as expected.
Joao Palhina is a crucial figure at Fulham, having scored 2 goals and an assist from 13 games despite being a defensive midfielder. The Premier League is valuing defensive midfielders more than ever lately. Chelsea seem to be milking this opportunity by adding another to the roster.

On the other hand, not many are providing the firepower at the frontline except for Raheem Sterling. Dusan Vlahivoc is having a fine run with Juventus. He is involved in six G/A (five goals and one assist) for the Old Lady so far this season. The incoming of these players can strengthen the Chelsea attack per Mauricio Pochettino. It seems like a good idea. Let’s see if it transpires into actual moves.
