Tottenham Hotspur have cooled their interest in signing Chelsea player Trevoh Chalobah

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur have now cooled their interest in signing Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah due to concern over his injury problems. He suffered a setback during recovery and is set to be out until January.

The 24-year-old is yet to make a return from an injury he sustained during pre-season, and his future is now uncertain at the club. Chelsea tried to sell the England international last summer, accepting Nottingham Forest’s bid, but the centre-back turned down the move.

However, other clubs such as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund remain interested in signing Chalobah, but his injury concern could impede a move away from Chelsea.

He will likely remain for another season at Stamford Bridge. The centre-back has lost his place at Chelsea and is way down in pecking order.

The Blues are open to selling the defender, but his injury remains the main issue, which could prevent a move. Chelsea are open to selling him in January and will hope that he recovers before the winter transfer window.

Remaining at Chelsea won’t be sensible for the centre-back, as he won’t get enough game time. with Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill, and Benoit Badiashile all available.

It would only be prudent for him to leave Chelsea, and teams are eager to sign him. However, given that the defender has been sidelined for an extended amount of time and is now anticipated to remain out until January, his injury may be an issue. This is troubling for both the player and the team. If it doesn’t heal in a timely manner, it will also deter interest from other teams.

The Blues will try to offload him now that he is anticipated to return in January, and we’ll see which team will be willing to acquire him. Hopefully, Bayern will remain interested until then, when he will be reunited with Thomas Tuchel.
