“Personally, I think”- Raheem Sterling tells Nicolas Jackson what he needs to do to succeed at Chelsea

Raheem Sterling has backed his Chelsea teammate Nicolas Jackson to continue scoring goals

Raheem Sterling is one of the few Chelsea players with experience who recognises how much his guidance can help other young, inexperienced players. Nicolas Jackson, who has had trouble scoring goals since the beginning of the season could benefit from Sterling’s advice.

The Villarreal forward joined Chelsea last summer and has five goals in the Premier League, which is a great record for a player who is still in his early 20s.

The 22-year-old netted his first hat-trick of the season in Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur and will hope to continue his scoring streak when they face top-tier Manchester City on Sunday.

Despite being unlucky not to find the scoresheet, the England international helped Jackson rediscover his goal-scoring ability. It should give the Senegalese a forward sense of optimism to remain more reliable in front of the goal.

The 28-year-old feels he will catch the flow once he starts scoring goals, (h/t Express) speaking to the Stadium Astro, Sterling said:

“I try to bring the ball into position to try and create, and we see him in training; we know what he’s capable of. Personally, I think he just needs to focus on giving everything like he has been, and the goals will flow.”

Jackson is still a work in progress when it comes to goal scoring, but the opportunities he has lost have taught him how to get better at it, and he will take that lesson to heart. We frequently overlook the fact that he is only 22 years old and will get more clinical with age. Given how rapidly he has reversed the tables, he already has five goals in ten games.

Sterling is aware of Jackson’s needs and will help him meet them. The England international who has also operated as a striker is aware of Nicolas Jackson’s struggles and will be keen on fostering him to become a ruthless centre-forward.
