Mauricio Pochettino advises Chelsea to sign Antonio Nusa but the asking price remains a contentious point
Todd Bohely has done an admirable job at recruiting young talents at Chelsea, and the Blues are once again on the hunt for another future starlet. The Blues have expressed interest in signing Antonio Nusa but are reluctant to match his €30m asking price.
According to Fichajes, Mauricio Pochettino has requested Chelsea sign Antonio Nusa in the winter transfer window. The 18-year-old is currently playing for Belgian Pro League club Club Brugge and continues to make a name for himself in European football.
The Blues are also understood to be leading the race to sign the 18-year-old, who has emerged as a highly-rated young player in Europe, and the Argentine manager seems to have been convinced by his performances. Pochettino has a track record of developing youth and Nusa could be yet another feather in his cap.
Nusa has developed at a steady rate and has made 17 appearances in all competitions for the Belgian club, producing two goals and three assists. He has also been called up for the Norway squad and has one goal for his national side.
However, the main obstacle could be his asking price, which is said to be €30 million, which Blues are not willing to pay. But negotiations could take place, and it remains to be seen if the Blues will be able to convince the Belgian club to sell the youngster for a lower fee.
Though the asking price could skyrocket if he continues to impress with his performance, Chelsea have little choice in the matter. We have to pay for quality and given our extravagant tendencies in recent windows, rival clubs will be unwilling to back down.
If Pochettino wants him, then it makes sense considering his history of developing young players has been scintillating. If he feels Nusa is a great player who can excel at Chelsea, then the Blues should consider a move for him. After all, the least we can do is back the manager brought in to turn thigns around.

However, Pochettino should be aware not to overcrowd the team with young players, as we have an abundance of them and it would only complicate his task of developing each one. But then, some shine brighter than others and Nusa certainly fits that bill.
