Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move away from PSG amid Chelsea interest
The future of Kylian Mbappe continues to remain a conundrum at Paris Saint-Germain after the player decided to keep his options open ahead of the January transfer window, with many European teams interested, including Chelsea.
The Frenchman has one year left on his contract, and many clubs are aware of his availability come the next summer window. If he fails to extend his deal, then a move is possible. One of the finest forwards in world football, the 24-year-old will not be short of options.
Real Madrid remains his likely choice, but the Frenchman has his options open, and many clubs will certainly want to take advantage of the chance to secure the signing of massive talent.
When asked about his next move, the 24-year-old former AS Monaco star has always kept silent, giving rise to doubts regarding his future at PSG. Chelsea remain interested and there could be an opening should the stars align in our favour.
During the November international break, the France captain was asked about his future at PSG in an interview with French publication Telefoot as quoted by GFNF (h/t Football.London), he said:
“It’s something I don’t want to talk about. Especially since I already did it in June and it took up a big part of the international break. I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that.”
Such talent is aware that when he becomes available on the transfer market, numerous clubs will be fighting for his services. Given his immense talent, clubs with the opportunity should not pass up signing Mbappe. But is Chelsea interested in him? There are currently a lot of players who have taken over his space. Mbappe is a flexible player who can play left wing or striker and has shown the ability to win games on his own.

Our left wing is filled with Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling, and Mykhaylo Mudryk, while in the No. 9 position, we have Armando Broja and Nicolas Jackson. Mbappe is a notch higher than the names on our roster and it makes sense to sacrifice a few if it means the Frenchman will turn out in Blue.
