“I’m sure that will get sorted out”- 23-year-old star confident of extending Chelsea contract

Conor Gallagher believes his Chelsea contract will be sorted out soon

Under Mauricio Pochettino, every Chelsea player has improved significantly, demonstrating that the Argentine manager is capable of commanding such a young team. But one of the surprising has names has been Conor Gallagher who is thriving under the former Southampton manager.

Gallagher, who many believed ought to leave after his disappointing season the previous year has stayed. However, his campaign of amendment has made supporters appreciate him and want him to continue here. Gallagher has formed impressive chemistry with Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo in the midfield.

Gallagher deserves a great deal of credit for the way he has changed his performance; his numbers speak for themselves. In the top seven leagues, the midfielder has won more possessions (20) than any other player.

Gallagher has become a fan favourite, from resisting leaving Chelsea to the club wanting him to stay as Pochettino has asked the club to keep the 23-year-old.

The England international has now commented on his contract situation and is fully confident that he will sign a new deal, (h/t Metro), as he said:

‘‘I’m sure that will get sorted out; everyone knows Chelsea is my club, and I love playing for them. The fans are brilliant, and I’m loving them right now, and I’m sure it will get itself sorted out.’’

Given the degree to which Gallagher has refined this season under the Argentine manager, the midfielder ought to be regarded as one of our core players. He deserves recognition for his perseverance and hard work in establishing himself as Chelsea’s regular starter. His desire to stay at Chelsea was surprisingly resilient and now his performance might have convinced the Blues to extend his deal.

His presence is now crucial to us and gives the team that extra something special. Given how important he has been to us and how deserving of a contract renewal here, Chelsea should now contemplate no other alternative but to extend his time here.
