Fabrizio Romano says 24-year-old Chelsea target could leave Serie A club in 2024

Chelsea target Victor Osimhen might not extend his contract beyond 2024 with Napoli

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Victor Osimhen could leave Napoli next summer, amid interest from Chelsea. The transfer expert also revealed Napoli and Osimhen are yet to reach an agreement over a contract extension, as his deal is set to expire in 2024.

The Blues have made the Nigerian centre-forward their primary target and have been pressuring Napoli with frequent approaches for Osimhen. Osimhen and Napoli’s relationship seems to have deteriorated over the months after the club’s official TikTok page released a video mocking him.

The centre-forward is in high demand at many clubs, and Chelsea have made him their target as they look to find solutions to their goalscoring woes.

The former LOSC Lille centre-forward could be the perfect hitman to break the curse and produce plenty of goals every season. Blues have handed positive news regarding his exit from Napoli after Fabrizio Romano revealed in his Exclusive Daily Briefing:

‘From what I’m hearing, guys, at the moment, at the beginning of November, there is still no agreement between Napoli and Victor Osimhen. The contract is still far from being done, and so the feeling is that Victor Osimhen could leave in the 2024 summer transfer window.’

Given that the Blues are determined to sign him for next summer, Chelsea ought to be all over this. Osimhen’s positioning awareness and striking ability make him an ideal striker for us, who can easily find the back of the net. During his time at Napoli, he blossomed into an accomplished striker, and if he wants to win additional titles, he should now consider more options.
