Chelsea increasing pressure on Serie A side to sell 24-year-old superstar

Chelsea remain adamant on signing Napoli ace Victor Osimhen next summer

Chelsea are endeavouring to find a potent striker who can break their goal drought and believe that Napoli ace Victor Osimhen is the perfect player to help them achieve their goal-scoring requirements.

The Blues are now approaching Napoli more frequently in an attempt to sign the 24-year-old, increasing the pressure on them. Chelsea are well aware of Osimhen’s potential to significantly boost their goal-scoring chances.

According to CaughtOffside, (h/t The Sun) Chelsea have made Osimhen their top priority signing next summer and want to take advantage of their complicated contract negotiations” between the star and Napoli.

The Serie A side won’t allow their prolific striker to leave in January, but Chelsea have mounted the pressure and are doing the “legwork now” to make sure they are the first to acquire his services if the Italian club decides to sell him.

Napoli striker has continued his prolific trend this season with six goals in eight appearances after the forward finished last campaign with 26 goals in 32 top-flight matches. The striker was linked with a move away last summer, with Chelsea and Manchester United plotting a move, but United instead signed Rasmus Hojlund.

The Osimhen relationship with Napoli seems to have deteriorated after the controversial TikTok video. This has given interested parties an incentive to land the last-season Scudetto winner.

Osimhen has killer instincts in front of goal and excellent position awareness; therefore, he’s a particular type of striker who is capable of fixing our goal-scoring issues right away. Given that United bought Hojlund, it is unlikely that they will pursue another striker, and Chelsea should be all over Napoli to land the Nigerian forward.

If Napoli decides to let the striker go, Chelsea needs to seize the chance. He is going to be our striker of the future and a brilliant addition to the team. His character is compared to Didier Drogba, and maybe he will finally be able to fill his shoes here.
