Chelsea are plotting a move for Copenhagen sensation Roony Bardghji
Chelsea have always emerged as the first team to show interest in signing young players, as under Todd Boehly, the club’s approach centred around bringing in youngsters. It thus makes sense that they are interested in Roony Bardghji.
The Blues are once again ready to make their interest known in the new sensation, who scored a late winner in 87 minutes against Manchester United to claim a 4-3 victory. The 17-year-old came on as a substitute only to make his second appearance in the competition, but it was a game to remember for the teenager, and this has now drawn the attention of Chelsea. According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, (h/t Express), Chelsea are crazy about signing Roony Bardghji and are ready to make an offer for the teenager.
The Blues have spent £150 million signing emerging young talents and haven’t shown any sign of stopping as they plot a move for the 17-year-old Copenhagen star.
Bardghji is predominantly left-footed but likes to operate from the right flank. Now the Blues are tempted by his performance and likely to make an offer that could be irresistible for the Danish club. Already proven at the top table of European football, the teenager appears to have a bright career ahead of him.
It is also understood that the club has been tracking the teenager before his heroic game against Manchester United and hopes to secure his service before any other club makes a move. The report reveals the teenager will be available for £11.6 million (100 million Swedish kroner) as he is under contract until 2024.
Bardghji is a top emerging talent and made a statement appearance against Manchester United. He looked like an experienced player with close control, pressing, striking, good decisions, and aggression. Imagine not looking raw and then scoring a winner to keep alive the dreams of your club in securing a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League. But then, few who have seen him play regularly will be shocked at the level of performances.

It’s unlikely that the Blues will include him in the first squad if they sign him, but anything is possible considering his performance against United. The Blues have made excellent choices regarding hiring young players. His asking price is reasonable; therefore, it remains to be seen how Chelsea will go about their pursuit.
