Arsenal open to sanctioning Aaron Ramsdale’s exit amid Chelsea’s interest
Arsenal are ready to sanction the sale of Aaron Ramsdale, who has lost his place to David Raya at Emirates Stadium, and Chelsea have expressed interest in signing the England international.
According to 90Min, (h/t ESPN), Newcastle United, Chelsea, and Wolves are ready to swoop in if Ramsdale decides to leave the Gunners. The 25-year-old is now a reserve goalkeeper, with Raya ahead of him.
Ramsdale will be hoping to get into the England squad, but he will require playing time, while Arsenal are also looking to make Raya’s loan move from Brentford permanent, which will drastically reduce his playing time.
Chelsea currently have Djordje Petrovic and Robert Sanchez, while Kepa Arrizabalaga is on loan at Real Madrid. If Kepa decides to remain at the Spanish club, then the Blues could consider a move for Ramsdale.
We can see Sanchez and Ramsdale compete for the first-team spot, while Petrovic will be affected a lot as he has yet to make an appearance for the Blues. So Chelsea will have to be sensible if they want Ramsdale.
Thus, we ought to search elsewhere, such as our no.9 position. It doesn’t seem like we need to sign a custodian, and even if we decide on Ramsdale, he won’t be inexpensive, so we shouldn’t spend too much money on one. Purchasing a seasoned striker is the preferable option.

Kepa’s future at Real Madrid doesn’t appear to be assured, and we will find out at the end of the campaign whether the Spanish side wants to hold onto him. If not, he is going to move back to Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino should give Petrovic an opportunity soon since we are better off without adding another custodian.
