Dimitar Berbatov gives prediction for Chelsea clash against Brentford
Chelsea take on Brentford this weekend looking to build on their 2-2 draw against Arsenal and Dimitar Berbatov has backed the Blues to emerge victorious against the unpredictable Bees.
The Blues had a horrid start to the season losing games and looking unable to score a goal. However, they seem to have turned it around with a few good results and should have managed to win against the Gunners last weekend.
Despite having a 2-0 lead for much of the game thanks to goals from Cole Palmer and Mykhaylo Mudryk, Robert Sanchez’s keeping errors meant that Arsenal managed to creep back into the game with two late goals.
At Stamford Bridge tomorrow, Chelsea will be hoping to continue the good form against Thomas Frank’s side. Brentford can be very unpredictable and often spring up with special surprises against the big sides.
Speaking about the game, as quoted by the Metro, Dimitar Berbatov feels that the Blues will manage to get a 1-0 win over the Bees and continue their positive form
“I will go for Chelsea. They need to find their consistency. They pick up speed and when you’re winning 2-0 against Arsenal, that is when you need to be more solid and know how to protect that lead because Arsenal have the quality to hurt you. Against Brentford, they cannot afford to do something like this again. They have enough quality to win the game”
Chelsea right now sit 10th in the Premier League and things only look upward for them from here on. The Blues will undoubtedly want to try and find a way to get into the top five by the time the season concludes.
The good thing for Pochettino and his club is that the more they play with each other, the better they are to get in their results. They just need to find a way to score more goals and one of their strikers need to step up for that.
Nicolas Jackson has failed to convince in the games that he has played so far. Armando Broja has not sufficiently recovered from the injury that he suffered and the Blues will need to sign a more established number nine to help them in this regard.

Right now though, we can only make use of what we have. A huge game is on the horizon for Chelsea. It is a game they are expected to win and let’s hope they manage to do just that.
