“I wear it with pride” – 24-year-old striker Chelsea want posts statement following TikTok controversy

Chelsea target Victor Osimhen has posted a massive statement following Napoli controversy

Chelsea target Victor Osimhen has spoken and cleared the air following his controversy with Napoli after the club’s official account on TikTok posted two clips mocking the striker. There were doubts about his future but the 24-year-old has reaffirmed his dedication to the fans of the Serie A club.

Plenty of European clubs are keen on signing him, with Chelsea being the biggest admirer of the striker, and their recent struggles in front of goal could force the Blues to make a move in January.

Despite top clubs showing interest, the 24-year-old has finally spoken in his recent TikTok videos, where he was made fun of (h/t Football. London):

“Coming to the City of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me. The people of Napoli have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us”.

“The passion of the people of Naples fuels my fire to always play with my heart and soul, and the love for the badge is unwavering as I wear it with pride. The accusations against the people of Naples are untrue. I have a lot of friends who are Napolitans and have become part of my family and everyday life. I appreciate Nigerians and everyone for leading their voices to support and reach out to me. I’m forever grateful. Let’s support unity, respect, and understanding. FORZA NAPOLI SEMPRE.”

It’s just a typical remark demonstrating his loyalty to the team, but we never know what will happen down the road because he could push for a transfer during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blues will need to be prepared for this because Victor Osimhen is the perfect striker the team needs. Given the urgency of a clinical striker for Chelsea, they must look at someone like the Nigerian.

If our goal-scoring shortcomings persist, we might be forced to go elsewhere because we cannot wait another season to buy a striker if Osimhen is not available in January. Until then we have Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja and let’s see if the Argentine manager can best out of both.
