Chelsea starlet Mykhaylo Mudryk was replaced in the final minutes of Ukraine’s 2-0 win over North Macedonia
As per Football. London, Chelsea have once again suffered another setback to their injury list as 22-year-old Mykhaylo Mudryk limped off in the final minutes of Ukraine’s 2-0 win over North Macedonia on Saturday.
He participated for 88 minutes and helped his side score their first goal to solidify their position for Euro 2024 qualifying, and the victory put them in second place, in a group that contains the likes of Italy and England.
Mudryk was impressive throughout the game, but his presence was cut short when he injured himself and received 10 minutes of treatment on the pitch. However, the forward did resume playing but was eventually replaced in stoppage time, and now it adds more worry to Chelsea’s growing injury list.
The Blues already have plenty of players injured, such as Christopher Nkunku, Romeo, Lavia, Wesely Fofana, Reece James, and Carney Chukwuemeka.
Mudryk has recently started to find his feet in the Chelsea jersey and scored his first-ever Blues goal in a 2-0 win over Fulham, but a recent possible injury could put a dent in his form.
Hopefully, it’s not something serious and he will be available to face Arsenal, as Mauricio Pochettino has put faith in Mykhaylo Mudryk and given him a great deal of game time to bring out the best in him. With his burst of speed and passing, he has begun to demonstrate why he is a crucial asset for us.
