Kai Havertz has scored only once for Arsenal since his move from Chelsea
Mikel Arteta reveals Kai Havertz and his qualities tempted Arsenal to trigger a move for the German international from Chelsea. Despite spending three years at Chelsea, Havertz’s transfer has never been profitable because of the forward’s unimpressive performances.
In 139 games while wearing a Chelsea jersey, the 24-year-old managed just 32 goals and 15 assists. He didn’t seem to be made for this club, and timing his move away from West London couldn’t have been better.
However, at North London, he has had a slow start but has broken his Arsenal duck. Although he still finds his feet at Arsenal, Arteta feels the 24-year-old’s addition gives the club great quality.
We are just into the new season, and maybe it would be too soon to judge his performance, but he has been playing in the Premier League for a long time and shouldn’t find it hard to adapt.
Arteta has revived the careers of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard at Arsenal, and we can expect him to help the former Bayern Leverkusen find his form. (h/t Football.London) But Arteta sees him as a quality player and said:
“Well, that’s certainly one of the reasons. His quality and the number of things he’s done already in his career And then to improve the starting XI.”
The German forward’s tenure at Chelsea has not been terrific, and he has never really seemed like the kind of player who could guide us considering how inconsistent he has been. We do, however, acknowledge him for scoring the most significant goal in the club’s history in the Champions League final against Manchester City.

With recognition and a key career trophy under his belt, he left the club. Meanwhile, we don’t know if he can win that trophy at Arsenal given that the last time Arsenal came close to winning the Champions League title was in 2005 when they were beaten by Barcelona by a score of 2-1. He can add Premier League title to his kitty if the Gunners don’t bottle this time.
