Nottingham Forest submit a bid for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah who is also wanted by Bayern Munich
According to the Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest have submitted a £25m offer to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on the deadline day of this transfer window.
German champions Bayern Munich are also interested in the Englishman, with their manager Thomas Tuchel, who was at Chelsea before, keen on getting him.
It is claimed by Fabrizio Romano that Chalobah wants a move to Munich done. So, either it is a last-minute move to Germany or staying at Stamford Bridge.
As encouraging an offer Forest have made for the player, it seems like he is not interested in joining them. So, Chelsea would not be in a position to accept it.
Bayern are already busy with the deadline activities with Joao Palhinha getting finalised after the departure of Ryan Gravenberch to Liverpool. With the German window now shut, his move to Germany isn’t going to happen this summer at the least. Maybe a pre-agreement for January? We wait and see about that.
The 24-year-old is a quality player who is finding it tough to break through the team under Mauricio Pochettino. Chelsea signed Axel Disasi after Wesley Fofana’s ACL injury to cover the right-sided centre-back role. They have got enough cover in defensive midfield through signings as well.
So, if the Englishman has an ambition to give himself a chance to feature for his country in the Euros next summer, a move to a club where regular football is guaranteed would be the way forward.

Bayern recently sold Benjamin Pavard to Inter Milan. So, there is a slot open for Chalobah to go there and play regularly under Tuchel. Let’s hope this move happens for the player’s sake, even if it in January, as he does not deserve to sit on the bench just to make up numbers.
