Mauricio Pochettino says Chelsea “deserved to win” against Liverpool and West Ham

Mauricio Pochettino believes Chelsea should have won against Liverpool and West Ham

Although Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure as Chelsea’s head coach has not gone as intended, the manager insisted the Blues deserved victories over West Ham United and Liverpool.

Having just one win in four Premier League games, Pochettino is already coming under increasing pressure, as they have just four points in their past four Premier League games.

The new period for the Argentine manager at Chelsea began with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool, followed by a 3-1 loss to the Hammers, a 3-0 victory over Luton Town, and a disappointing 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.

Pochettino will have to figure out a solution to Chelsea’s persistent goal-scoring difficulties in the forthcoming encounter. We hope this pattern won’t last much longer in foreseeable games.

However, there has been far more improvement in terms of performance, with the Blues being superior in every game, but a lack of cutting-edge has cost them the game. Speak to Noah Robson, quoted by Fabrizio Romano:

“We’re happy with the process and the way that the team is showing the way we want to play. We were better than Liverpool and West Ham. In five games, I think we deserved to win.”

Chelsea have a clinical goalscorer in Cole Palmer.

We can agree with Pochettino on this point since we have progressed considerably from last season, and our performance will absolutely elevate as the season goes on because we have a capable manager.

Against Liverpool, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest, we ought to have prevailed. Why didn’t we succeed? As usual, we lacked finesse in front of goal. If we give Nicolas Jackson some time, he could be the solution to our problems up front..

But everyone around him should also be contributing. A top team cannot have just one or two outlets for goals. Let us hope we are far more clinical in the league game against Bournemouth later today.
