Chelsea face growing interest from Premier League rivals for Norwegian attacking sensation

Manchester United have joined Chelsea and Arsenal in the pursuit of Antonio Nusa

According to Fichajes, Manchester United have also joined Chelsea and Arsenal in the race to sign Norwegian star Antonio Nusa, as demand for the highly-rated stars keeps growing. It is also understood that other clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Marseille have also expressed interest in the 18-year-old.

The Norwegian has already made his name in Europe, as he became the second-youngest Champions League scorer ever in September 2022 during a 4-0 group win over Porto. The West Londoners had tested the waters when they sent a £26 million deadline-day bid, which was eventually turned down by Brugge.

As per the other report, the Blues could have only managed to sign Nusa had they sold Ian Maatsen or midfielder Conor Gallagher. The left-back was close to leaving the club after the Blues accepted Burnley’s offer, but Maatsen turned down the bid.

However, it seems the West Londoners will once again go for the 18-year-old in the January window but will face plenty of competition from other clubs. Hopefully, we will go on to secure his signature.

However, signing another young person when they already have other prospects poised to demonstrate themselves is meaningless since it will make it difficult for Mauricio Pochettino to help them attain their maximum potential. Unless we move out the likes of Nicolas Jackson or Armando Broja, there is a case of there being too many cooks in the same kitchen at Stamford Bridge.

We currently have a large number of young players; some of them are at the club, while others have been loaned out. What will happen when they return? Chelsea will have to manage an overly large roster once more. Nusa is an outstanding prospect, and his performance has spoken for itself, but we must be more cautious since playing in the Premier League is different.

The same thing happened with Mykhyalo Mudry since we signed him and didn’t give him time to mature at Shakhtar Donetsk. Now he is having trouble. Pochettino should decide whether to sign a player because he will be in charge of managing the team and must make important decisions about these matters.
