Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu reveals that his dream is to join Chelsea amid interest from several European clubs
Lecce’s 18-year-old defender Patrick Dorgu has been linked with a move to Barcelona, Liverpool, and Manchester City, but his eyes are set on a move to Chelsea if the chance arises.
Lecce signed Dorgu from FC Nordsjælland in 2022 and sent him to their youth academy before promoting him to the senior side. The Danish player has functioned as a left-back and has accumulated an assist in six games. During this time, he has shown enough potential to suggest that a bright future in the game could be on the cards.
His agent confirmed this June that Barcelona approached the youngster, and if he continues to deliver consistent performance, many more clubs might start keeping tabs on his availability.
However, as of now, Chelsea holds an edge over them, as his dream is to play for them, and the Blues’ ambitions revolve mainly around signing young players. The Danish left-back could be an ideal acquisition in the future.
The left-back has already revealed his dream club, and it is the West Londoners. (h/t Sport Witness), When speaking to Ekstra Bladet, he said:
“Chelsea is my dream to play for. I have been a fan of them for over 10 years, so it would be a huge dream to play for them.”
It now seems unlikely that Chelsea will sign the 18-year-old given that they already have Ben Chilwell, Ian Maatsen, and Marc Cucurella. The Blues would be better without acquiring more young players. Dorgu would be too young to join a major club. It would be best for him to remain in Serie A and get experience as a left-back.

Chelsea have enough options to choose from that position; therefore, they don’t seem too keen on signing him. If he garners attention from the team in the future, the Blues may make an attempt to sign him.
