According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have reached an agreement with American technology giants Infinite Athlete regarding shirt sponsorship worth more than £40 million a season.
Despite both parties reaching an agreement, they have yet to get confirmation from the Premier League to start printing the company’s name on the Blue jersey. Once the Premier League gives the green light, Mauricio Pochettino’s side should wear a new sponsor printed on their jersey for their game against Liverpool on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
The contract talks were started a month earlier, and now Chelsea’s long search for a new shirt sponsor has ended after their contract with Three expired.
This new deal is set to hand Chelsea a major financial upgrade for the upcoming campaign, going into a season with a sponsorship deal where they won’t be playing in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the plans of Infinite Athlete are to expand their business by supplying affordable data to fans and taking action from different angles during the games. In this instance, Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino and his assistants will have access to the most recent AI player data they need to manage their team with the help of technology.
This appears like a terrific agreement for the Blues because they will sponsor a sizable sum of money, which will help us financially the next season following the loss of the Champions League money. The club will profit financially from this, but Pochettino will also greatly benefit from it because he will be able to use AI to technologically evaluate the performance of his side.
Fans will be able to view data on an app as well as watch the game from the app. Hopefully, with their financial assistance, we will also be able to complete our other signings. The future is now and Chelsea appear to be taking steps to adapt to it.
