The future of Conor Gallagher remains uncertain at Chelsea, as they might sell him if a suitable offer arrives for him by summer transfer window deadline day. later this week
The Blues hierarchy sees him as superfluous, and considering Chelsea bought in two new midfielders, the Englishman’s future might lie away from Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have also slapped a £50 million price tag on the England international, with West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur keen on signing him. Pochettino appears pleased with Gallagher’s commitment, but we can never be sure whether the Blues will rely on him if a buyer meets the asking price. The England international has been putting in a lot of effort as well, and his commitment to our cause is undeniable. However, once Romeo Lavia is ready to start for Chelsea, he could eat into Gallagher’s game time.
It will be difficult to offload him, but if an enticing price comes up, we might think about selling him. This season, we have witnessed progress in his play under Pochettino, and his continued presence at Chelsea will also give depth and experience to our midfield.
